Salt Lake City, UT: February 18, 1998, The Gourds at the Zephyr Club. Salt Lake City was a little different from the other stops on the tour. It was impossible to find an exit off the highway that led to the city. We kept getting lost down these one way streets that ended up at industrial sites. Once we parked & uploaded at Zephyr's, I roamed around on my own. First stop, the Mormon church. Note to self: never go inside the Mormon church ground again! Long story short, they try to question your own faith and convince you need to read the Mormon bible. whatever, that's cool...I threw the bible away a few blocks later. The Gourds were again great, but played to almost no one. They did an awesome "Cold Bed". Ken Bethea of the 97's asked us where we were sleeping. Kevin said, "nowhere."
